Welcome to my website.  I have always been enchanted by the spirit of music for as long as I can recall. I built my first musical instrument at the age of 14 embarking on a journey which I shall continue for the rest of my days. My ethos as an instrument maker is really quite simple. The spirit of the instrument should resonate with the musician for whom the instrument is created. The timbre and tone color should compliment the playing style and spirit of the player. Each instrument I produce is created for a musician who I meet personally, preferably several times. This allows me not only to understand how the instrument needs to fit the player but also to feel what the player is looking for in an instrument which will be with them for many years.

I only use ethically sourced materials for my instruments and my stock of tonewoods is extensive.

My instruments are built one at a time and it is rare to see one offered for sale second hand. I only build to commission and do not sell through distributors.

Each instrument is created for an individual and each commission is undertaken and completed personally. I want the process of obtaining one of my instruments to be a magical experience for you as much as it is for me to build it.
